ABSTRACT

This article analyzed the characteristics of data of acupuncture and moxibustion in ancient books, and put forward to a mode of diagnosis and treatments according to acupuncture and moxibustion. A variety of data mining techniques were used to extract, integrate and display the theory, methods, meridians, acupoints and techniques in ancient books to establish a database platform of ancient books based on B/S architecture, which can be used by users. Also, this article described the framework, the function of the module, and the method of realizing each function of the experience platform of acupuncture ancient books, and demonstrated an interface of the results searched by key wordsstroke, and summarized the experience of building this platform and the advantages of the platform in the research and development of data of acupuncture ancient books.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To construct a knowledge platform of acupuncture ancient books based on data mining technology, and to provide retrieval service for users.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>The Oracle 10 g database was applied and JAVA was selected as development language; based on the standard library and ancient books database established by manual entry, a variety of data mining technologies, including word segmentation, speech tagging, dependency analysis, rule extraction, similarity calculation, ambiguity analysis, supervised classification technology were applied to achieve text automatic extraction of ancient books; in the last, through association mining and decision analysis, the comprehensive and intelligent analysis of disease and symptom, meridians, acupoints, rules of acupuncture and moxibustion in acupuncture ancient books were realized, and retrieval service was provided for users through structure of browser/server (B/S).</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The platform realized full-text retrieval, word frequency analysis and association analysis; when diseases or acupoints were searched, the frequencies of meridian, acupoints (diseases) and techniques were presented from high to low, meanwhile the support degree and confidence coefficient between disease and acupoints (special acupoint), acupoints and acupoints in prescription, disease or acupoints and technique were presented.</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>The experience platform of acupuncture ancient books based on data mining technology could be used as a reference for selection of disease, meridian and acupoint in clinical treatment and education of acupuncture and moxibustion.</p>

ABSTRACT

Objective To understand the effects of chemoradiotherapy combined with radiotherapy on peripheral differential blood cell counts on tumor patients. Methods 40 patients receiving concurrent chemoradiotherapy were randomly selected in the radiotherapy department in our hospital.Peripheral blood WBC,PLT radiotherapy for 1-4 weeks were retrospective analysis. Results The first 1-4 week of radiotherapy, peripheral blood cells of WBC,PLT decreased. The difference was statistically significant (WBC:x2 =16.902,P =0.001,PLT:x2 =8.492,P =0.037),and obviously in the second week. Conclusion Tumor radiotherapy decreases blood cell counting and classification in the WBC,PLT,and obviously in the second week.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the effect of prevention and treatment for patients with radiation proctitis by retention enema. Methods According to the digital table,120 patients with pelvic tumor treated with radiotherapy were randomly divided into two groups. The observation group was taken retention enema 2 to 14 days after radiotherapy once a day.The control group was taken retention enema when the patients with radiation proctitis after radiotherapy. The severity and frequency of radiation proctitis were observed in the two groups. Results The incidence of radiation proctitis in the observation group was 35.0%,which was significantly lower than that of the control group (83.3%) (χ2 =47.623,P =0.000).The severity of radiation proctitis was also significantly lower than that of control group. The incidence of Ⅱ and Ⅲ degree of radiation proctitis in the observation group were 3.3%,0,respectively,which were significantly lower than those of the control group (26.7%,6.7 %) (χ2 =12.810、4.138,P =0.000、0.042).The total efficiency rate was 100.0%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group (72.0%)(χ2 =32.558,P =0.000).Conclusion Retention enema can effectively treat the radiation proctitis and the effect will be more significant if the retention enema starts soon after radiotherapy.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of induction chemotherapy and three-dimensional conformal radiation (3D-CRT) combined with endostar in the treatment of locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).Methods Thirty patients with locally advanced NSCLC were enrolled and divided into observation group (15 cases) and control group (15 cases). In the observation group, the patients received induction chemotherapy and 3D-CRT combined with endostar.Chemotherapy:Vinorelbine 25mg/m2 on day 1 and 8,DDP 30mg/m2 on day 2 to 4.Endostar 7.5mg/m2 on day 1 to 14,which was used again after 7 days for 2 to 4 cycles. In the control group, the patients received induction chemotherapy and 3D-CRT at the same dosage. All patients were treated with 3D-CRT and the prescription dose was 60 ~ 68Gy per fraction. The responses were evaluated according to WHO criteria. The shortterm efficacy between the 2 groups was compared. Results The overall effective rate of the two groups were 66.7% and 60.0%,respectively (P > 0.05).The median progression-free survival time was 12 months in the observation group and 10 months in the control group. The median survival time was 20 months in the observation group and 18 months in the control group. The 1 year overall survival rate was 80.0% in the observation group and 73.3% in the control group(P > 0.05).The main toxicities in the two groups were marrow suppression, gastrointestinal symptoms, acute radiation pneumonitis and acute radiation esophagitis. There was no significant difference between the two groups (P > 0.05).Conclusions The combination of endostar with induction chemotherapy and 3D-CRT can improve the short-term efficacy rate of locally advanced NSCLC,the adverse events of which are tolerable, but the improvement is not significant in both groups. The result pending further randomized multi-center phase Ⅲ clinical study.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study in targeted therapy of cancer drug endostar combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy in the treatment of newly diagnosed patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer, and find an effective combined treatment mode of advanced non-small cell lung cancer, so as to improve the survival rate and quality of life of patients with advanced lung cancer. Methods 18 patients with newly diagnosed advanced non- small cell lung cancer admitted to our hospital from July 2009 to February 2010 were randomly divided into 2 groups and treated with induction chemotherapy and 3D-CRT,9 cases in the experimental group (including Endostar), 9 cases in the control group, All of the patients'clinical symptoms, efficacy and toxicity in the two groups were observed. At the same time, nursing of radiotherapy, chemotherapy and targeted therapy was given to paients. Results The efficacy of the experimental group and the control group were 77.8% and 66.7%, the clinical remission rates of the experimental group and the control group showed no significant difference, both of the patients in the two groups had varying degrees of toxicity, but all of the them completed the treatment well under the holistic nursing and systematical health education by nurses. Conclusions Endostar combined with induction chemotherapy and three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3D-CRT) in the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer can improve the efficacy and survival rate, and the quality of life, although there are some side effects, but can be alleviated by symptomatic treatment and care.
